During maths we have been learning about position and direction using a grid map. We we're assigned to create questions using a grid map of a place of our choice. I have chosen a place somewhere in Tokyo, Japan and wrote questions to find the following grid references below. Using the compass direction, you must be able to find out which direction you would be travelling from one place to another.
I am a Year 8 student at Saint Patrick's School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Ms. George.

Decimal Numbers In Grids
Today, I had learnt how to write decimal numbers in grids.
This square represents a whole. What decimal is represented by the shaded area? I picked 0.9 because 9 lines are shaded and this square haven’t been fully shaded so it will be 0 wholes and 9 lines that is 0.9.
Each square represents a whole. What decimal is represented by the shaded area? I said 1.9 because one whole is fully shaded which is one whole and the other square is not fully shaded and has 9 lines shaded which is 1.9.
