L.I.- W.A.L.T - to solve division problem by equal sharing in one's ,two's, and fives.

Success Criteria:  I know I can do this when I solve problems by equal sharing using division and fraction.
                         Problem Solving 

Problems: How many lollies will be in each bag ?

1.  30 lollies shared between 5 bags.

I know the answer is 6 because 1/5 of 30 is 6 ,another way is 30÷5=6.

2. 45 lollies shared between 5 bags.

I know the answer is 9 because 45÷5=9 or 9×5=45 
 and 1/5 of 45 is 9.

3. 35 lollies shared between 5 bags.

I know the answer is 7 because 7×5=35 or 35÷5=7 and

1/5 of 35 is 7.

4. 100 lollies shared between 10 bags.

I know the answer is 10 because 10×10=100 or 100÷10
=10 and 1/10 of 100 is 10.

Today me and Roneeza measured a carrot from its roots to the tip of the leaves, using 10cm., 5cm., 6cm. and 8cm. This is what we found out.

1. Using 5cm.= the carrot is eleven- 5cm. long.

2. Using 8cm.= the carrot is seven- 8cm. long.

3. Using 6cm.= the carrot is thirteen- 6cm. long.

4. Using 10cm.=the carrot is five -10cm. long.

How to play hopscotch

Success Criteria : I can do this when I can write instructions in order on how to play hopscotch.

                  How to play hopscotch

Steps:
1. Line up in a single line.

2. Throw a stone or a stick into a number square.

3. Hop on the number squares until you get closest  square where the stone had landed.

4. Grab your stone or stick.

5. Jump over your number then proceed all the way to reach the end.

6. Turn around and hop back to the start.

7.  Pass the stone to the next person in the line to have a turn.

Trip To Botanical Garden

L.I. W.A.L.T- write a recount using describing words.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write a recount about Botanic Garden trip using describing words. 

Yeah!! May 17, 2016 Tuesday the whole school went to Botanic Garden.This is the third time I went there. 

When we arrived we went with our group. First we saw some pretty and sweet smelling flowers. There were  tall flowers, beautiful  roses, daises and all kinds of other flowers. There are  lots of colourful flowers.There are pink, purple, white , yellow and blue flowers.

Next we went to a class and  learnt about worms.  We saw some tiger worms using magnifying glasses. A girl name Sarah gave us some life cycle puzzles to put them in order. After that we went  to a garden and we use the yoghurt cups to a plant a seed.

Later we had lunch and waited for the bus to go back to school. My friend and I were very happy to visit the Botanic garden again.

Dear Gita,

Hi, I'm in room 5L. I want to say thank you for organising a healthy lunch for us. 
I really like the fruit salad that the chef had made for us.It is sweet and a bit sour because of the different fresh fruit, and it's really good. 

The chocolate cookie was delicious, because of the honey. I don't  like the chicken sandwich because it has mayonnaise and I don't eat mayonnaise. I didn't ate the dumplings so I gave it to my parents and they said it was very tasty.

My Healthy Lunch

L.I- W.A.L.T .... write a recount using descriptive languages.

Sucess Criteria: I know I can this when I can use descriptive words in my story.

Yeah!! free lunch two weeks ago at school. Master chefs , learner chefs and doctors went to our class.

They gave us some healthy lunch. We take a photo and they talked about the food. then it was time to eat. In my lunch I have a sandwich with crunchy celery ,delicious  cucumber, yummy chicken and tasty mayonnaise. Next their were savoury dumplings and inside it their were some carrots, tomatoes and onions. Thirdly I have a chocolate dip cookie. the chocolate was hard so I let the chocolate melt a little. Lastly we said goodbye to are visators and I wish too see them again.
