Why are Olympics games important ?

L.I- We are learning to write an explanation why is Olympics game are important.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write an explanation about the importance of the Olympics in full sentence with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
 
Olympics games are important because in every Olympic sport you  competed in, you can received a medal if you won the sporting event. The best three athletes can receive gold, silver and bronze.

 Olympic games are important because if you win, people in your country will be proud of you! You can celebrate victory if you won a medal.

 Olympic sports are important because the last Olympic torch bearer  will ignite the Olympic flames to signal the opening of the games. Torch bearers are important because if the cauldron is not lit, the game will not start.

 Olympic games are important because the winners become the best of the best athletes in their chosen sports and the whole world will know about it. During Olympic games many countries come together to compete in a friendly and fair competition.

 Athletes are important because if there are no athletes, no one will play and win a medal and there will be no Olympics to happen.

why is seatbelt is important ?

Success Criteria - I know I can do this when I write an explanation about why is seat belt important?

1. Seat belt is important because it keeps us stay in our seat and protects us from injuries in case of car accident. 

2. Seat belt is important because in New Zealand it is illegal not to wear a seat belt anytime and anywhere when travelling.

3.Seat belt is important because if you forgot to wear a seat belt and you got caught by the police you have to pay a fine.

4. Seat belt is important so remember to buckle up for your safety and the safety of other people or travellers on the road.

5. Drunk driver must wear a seat belt in case they might lose control of the car and crashed with another car and will die or get injured.

               For all people who are sick and in pain

For all those who are sick and in pain at hospitals, God help the doctors to find a cure for their sickness.

For all those who have cancers and heart problem ,God help the doctors and scientist to find a cure for them.

For all those who are in pain with brain damaged, look after them that they will be healed Lord.

For all those who are injured in war, take care of them Lord.

How do cats show their feelings ?

L.I.- W.A.L.T.- write an explanation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write an questions in the heading, on introduction to tell about the topic, and series of points telling how and why.

Cats have many different ways of showing their feelings.

When cats are playful they show there feelings by following the string that you pulled along. They scratch plastic bags with their paws. When cats are playful they show their feelings by chasing a toy mouse and pounce it.  They are playful when they play with a ball of yarn. When they are playful they leap from the floor to the chair so they can look around.

When cats are happy they always purr when we scratch their tummy. They are happy when they roll over to get there chin tickle.  When they are happy, they sit quietly and they purr themselves to sleep.


Cats are really interesting pet animals.
