Kauri Dieback

It has been brought to our attention that the infectious disease that is killing our native Kauri Giants and perhaps limiting the growth of future Kauri, has been gravely affected by the contamination of footwear that can be passed on by miniscule spores.

The Department of Conversation has actioned an awareness campaign using a rage of media to inform and promote awareness not only for the New Zealanders but also for the hundreds of tourists that visit our beautiful land.

Kauri has been infected from Kauri Dieback which is a result because of the roots of the kauri have been disturbed by us.  It may also damage the tissues of the roots that carries the nutrients inside the tree. The movement of we do to the soil causes the Kauri trees to be infected. It damages the branches and it makes the leaves fall off there branches.
