and fully know fractions. My goals are to multiply and divide complex decimal equations.

My achievements in writing, I have been writing more details and information. My goals in writing are to write more sophisticated words and details in my writing.

My achievements in reading, I think critically and understand about what I read. My goals in reading are to read clearly and read more complex books.

Astria Pt.2

A student in another school has recently blogged that:
"Students don't learn much play this game called Astria- Countdown to Impact: Their time could be better spent doing other things'.

This game helps you to think critically and to read the text carefully. This game also learns you new words (bias, factual). For my opinion, Astria is suitable for year 6 and over. This game also has good graphics and effects. I disagree but when you play this game by yourself it can be confusing so I suggest to play it with a partner.

Advent

How can we use Advent to open ourselves and let Jesus become a
bigger part of our lives?

What is Advent?
Advent is a time of year to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ,
the Son Of God. This celebration occurs  yearly, but can be celebrated
by two kinds of people, christians and non-christians. Advent is a time
to open our hearts and change our attitudes. The word Advent means “coming” in Latin. There are 4 candles, symbolizing Advent.
Each one represents one of the four Sundays in Advent.
Three of the candles are the colour violet, leaving the remaining
candle the colour rose.

Thinking about our attitudes, we can recognise what needs to be
changed so that we can have a strong relationship with God, we
could also be more loving and caring to each other. Appreciating
the season of Advent as a gift to be used to make a straight path
and to  follow Jesus’ footsteps, by learning more about Him.
Changing our attitudes can change our lives and we could be
a more better person. Changing our attitudes can also change the lives of others.

Student Blog Prompt

Write down 5 top things you think people should watch out for
to help identify fake news.
Read the text carefully if it sounds like it a lie.
Also look if the text doesn’t provide a lot of information it may be fake.
Unless someone wrote something that has a lot of sophisticated facts on their writing try to search it online.
Try to search that author or writer and see where they got their information from.
If you’d remember something from the past and it says it was a lie they could have used the same information.

On a scale to 1-5, how successfully did you problem solve
with your partner today?

I wasn’t with a partner but I rate myself a 3 because firstly I had a
bit of trouble understanding the game but I got used to it when
I asked some help from my classmates.

Astria- Countdown To Impact

A student in another school has recently blogged that:

“Students don’t learn much playing this game called Astria – Countdown to Impact: Their time could be better spent doing other things”.
I disagree, this game helps us to learn how biased or true the text from the game is. In this game we had to stop an asteroid and find a solution to stop it. I had to read and find 6 documents and give them to the council. I have to rate how truth, bias and factual the text from the documents are. There will be questions I have to answer and I can choose disagree, partly agree and agree.
